Description

Just a random character as a reference to a terrible condition I have(created for my characters) in my head :) Created by the government to be immortal and indestructible, her species was created as mistake as their science failed and they had already mutated far too many to kill them all simply because of their condition as well as the fact that they could not die. Blessed and cursed with immortality except for aging and starvation, no bullet, blade, or fist can end one's life. But the terrible side effect that the slightly breaking of the skin would cause an extension of the body part that contains the wound to protrude a perfect copy of itself. If one of these beings were to skin their knee, another lower leg would grow from the knee; if one slits their wrist, a second hand will grow from the wound; if one were to receive a paper cut, another finger would grow from the cut; if one were to skin their face, a second face would grow from the scrape. The only upside to their condition is that if one were to cut off the growth of arms at the shoulder where they all join, only one wold return, but the scaring is hideous. The excess of limbs in inconvenient places caused mobility to be limited and even simply movements to be slightly painful and difficult; to ability to move about and establish freedom became impossible for them. Eventually, after the upheaval of the government that owned these terribly beautiful people, they were taken in by those of the Empire that replaced it and had a great fascination of the beings held within the government. And these people were taken in by those of the new empire and cared for. This led to the wealthy soon breeding and keeping these people in their homes where they pampered and educated them better than most. The wealthy that cared for them would purposefully cut them and bind the sprouting limbs in order to have them grow in specific patterns and styles; they had literally become human-banzai trees. But never seeing the world outside their rooms at the top of buildings in goose and down beds and pillows, their idea of the rest of the world became pure imagination aside from the few things they hear from others. And imagination soon became their best quality, as they were revered for their ability to weave tales and stories together on a whim and share them elegantly. So painfully beautiful, these beings would create epics, poetry, stories, myths, tales, and fables that most desired to hear.

But this character isn't anyone in particular... She sits here on her bed, beside her stain-glass window that hides the world from her as well as her from the prying eyes of others, and contemplates another fable to tell.

This took me SO LONG, and I killed a ballpoint pen XD It ran out of ink.... I might sell this on etsy, and if I do, I will post a link here :) And I might draw a darker, more painful side to these creatures.... I am not sure.

Prints are on Etsy at [link]

The multiple limbs look awesome!!  You did a great job blending them together at their joints!
